Happy Birthday (21st December) to the late, great Frank Vincent Zappa who would be celebrating his 71st birthday today had he not lost his footing on the precarious bridge of life. I first got into Frank Zappa a few years back, shortly after I left Red Star Rebels. I was in need of some new sounds and dear boyo did Frank Zappa and his band the Mothers of Invention deliver. I’ve always had a soft spot for progressive, leftfield and darn-right quirky music and Zappa’s is still among the best you’ll find.
So raise your glasses, drink deep from the well of illumination and let’s hear it for the Mother/Father of musical invention, Mister Frank Zappa.
