Dazzle Rebel announces a brand new summer single that will have you sizzling in your speedos!

“Cookin’ in the Sun” releases on all major platforms on 13th May 2022.

Fringe Rock songsmith Dazzle Rebel strikes a match and turns the hob up to nuclear fusion with his latest, irreverent post-punk rocker. If you’re looking for even more heat this summer, simply put on this track for an instant blast of feelgood radiation. You’ll be dancing around in your speedos and like it’s 1994.

Riffing on a story of how he ended up with major sunburn and a swollen face for his wedding day, Dazzle Rebel brings his quirky A-game for his summer Post-Punk smash n’ grab, Cookin’ in the Sun. With a grumbling of 80s New Wave angst and a healthy dose of 90s feel-good Alt-Rock sunshine, the main melody is indicative of those halcyon days of youthful abandon. Meanwhile, the lyrics paint a fun tale of spending too long in the sunshine and suffering for it. Cookin’ in the Sun is a fun Post-Punk/Alt-Rock sunkissed romp that grabs your attention with a catchy hook and a 2-minute runtime.

Cookin’ in the Sun will be released on all major platforms on Friday 13th May 2022. There will be two versions, the standard version with explicit lyrics and the Radio Edit that includes a karaoke version as a B-Side!

Blue Bones and Warm Tones ~ New Music Friday

This is my first in a (hopefully) weekly roundup of new music that I’ve been listening to this week. First up I’ve got this smashing number by Billy Nomates.

Blue Bones was released on 6th April so it’s been out a few weeks but I’ve been playing it at least five times a day ever since. I first heard about Billy Nomates through her collaboration with Sleaford Mods on the single Mork N’ Mindy. After hearing that I instantly went to see what kind of back catalogue she had and was greeted with some absolute bangers.

Blue Bones is a bit more mellow than most of her previous work but it’s one of my favourites already. Tor Maries aka Billy Nomates has a beautifully unique voice and I highly recommend checking out her stuff, if you haven’t done so already.

The second release that I’d like to share this week is from my friend Aaron James’ (aka AJ Superstar) new band, The Rebel Yell$. They were formed just before the lockdown and wrote this EP during that summer.

I Recorded One Song Per Day, Here’s The Result

On New Year’s Eve, I decided not to go out and party. It got to around 7pm and I was bored with the TV, so I decided to set myself a task. Could I record an entire track in one evening, my last recording of 2021?

If you’ve followed me for a while, then you’ll know that I managed to crack that task and a stripped-back, acoustic version of ‘Condor’, the title track from my 2021 mini-album Condor Leader, was the result.

Well, that got me wondering if I could continue the one song per-day challenge and cover every song on the album? So, I went ahead and tried and Condor Dealer is the result!

Condor Dealer is out today and available for FREE download through Bandcamp, including bonus digital content.

Swan Song (Radio Edit) Releasing Everywhere on 26/11/2021

Hello you, it’s been a few weeks since we last spoke! Well, the reason for my lack of content is not because I’ve been slack. In fact, there’s a lot been going on behind the scenes. A hell of a lot indeed.

I have been busy beavering away (stop sniggering, it’s not that kind of beavering) creating new music and working on content for my YouTube channel. I’ll start drip-feeding all that content soon, so make sure that you’re following my social channels because things are going to go a little crazy during 2022!

Meanwhile, Condor Leader has done way better than I ever expected. Thank you so much for getting behind this release. However, even though I’ve got brand new music coming from April 2022 I’m not done milking the Condor Leader material just yet.

A lot of people seemed to really dig the track “Swan Song” but were not able to stream it in certain situations due to the rather vulgar language I use in it. Well, there is a radio-friendly version available on Bandcamp but that doesn’t help anyone wanting to add it into their own Spotify playlists.

I’ve heard you guys and I’m doing something about it. To that end, I’m releasing “Swan Song (Radio Edit)” on all major streaming platforms on 26th November 2021. You can pre-save/pre-order the track now by clicking the link or on the new single cover art below.

I’m Back Home and Sober for New Music Friday!

What a week it’s been. There’s been some huge news stories this week and none of them are uplifting (whenever is the news uplifting)? It seems that the Four Horsemen are riding and the world is burning.

So, what do I plan to do about it? Well, this weekend I’m planning to get absolutely f*cked and bury my head in the sand over everything! I know this is a bad idea but you know what, it’s been a long time coming and I need to let off some steam.

So, come the following morning my New Music Friday release will seem very apt indeed. This week, I introduce to you my lyric video for Back Home and Sober. A track all about going out and getting wasted and waking up trying to remember what happened.
