Trying to produce a DIY EP to a decent standard and with no previous training is reminding me of that film See No Evil, Hear No Evil with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor. It is very much the blind leading the deaf, or visa versa depending on how you look at it.

I’ve finally got Twitter and when I say that I mean I finally get Twitter! For a long time I never saw the point. I tried it when it first came out and thought “what can I say in 140 characters? This is bloody pointless!” but now I finally get it.
So I’ve been recording some tunes using a Cubase. As an aid to writing for a musician its bloody brilliant but for a DIY engineer and producer with no proper training I’m continually frustrated that I can’t get my recordings to sound ‘professional’.
